Pictures of the Day and A Thought Or Two
I don't know why I wanted to take a picture of this leaf. I guess I liked the contrast of colors and how it was still holding some water from yesterday's storm.
I'm enjoying taking pictures more than I expected.
I liked this because of the contrast between dark and light.
These trees surround my lane. Today I took the time to really notice how tall some of the trees really are.
Taking the time to take pictures makes me take the time to notice life around me. I think it's a good way to get closer to God because I see God in nature.
As you can tell the weather today is beautiful. The humidity is completely gone and it's a comfortable 77 degrees.
My morning AA meeting was awesome even though it was small, everyone is still in Ocean City. I like small meetings though, it's easier to share and connect.
I started working on my snowmen Christmas ornaments, I was working on them while my father was ill and I haven't had the heart to pull them back out until now. My father was a truck driver for 40 years and his handle was Snowman so I decided I would make him some Christmas ornaments. It was not to be though and now I will make them in his memory for my tree.
All in all it's been a nice, peaceful day.

Beautiful! I like the leaf. Nice :)

I find both taking pictures and doing art work/crafts to be very healing. What a great way to honor your father!

We can't ask for much more than a start with AA, then a "peaceful day". Guess it means less stress!
I like those kinds of days....

those are cool photos. it's amazing the things one notices with a lens which otherwise would have passed us by...
i think is great to be making the snowman in your dad's memory. bitter sweet memories. and you sound real peaceful too. enjoy it!

you posted 'I think the two of us are some kind of kindred spirits or something.' just wanted to say that I 'sense' that as well.
hope you are off to a good week!

Sometimes God just grabs my attention and fills me with wonder and awe - often when I'm out in nature. Sometimes I can't figure out why I'm reacting the way I am so I just say, "Thank you God for this gift".
